I fell for the Acai Berry Power 500 diet pills scam. The site said that they will send me a free trial for 14 days. After submitting my details including bank details they then told me that i will be charged £50 every 31 days unless i cancel. I have tried but don’t seem to be able to. If i cancel my debit and say that it has been lost/stolen will that stop the payments being taken out of my account?

Go back on the site & contact them, use the ‘contact us’ option at the bottom of the page. Send an email cancelling your contract & stating that you do not authorise any payments from the card. PRINT & KEEP A COPY. Any payments taken 15 days or more after the date of this are illegal.
In the meantime go into your bank if any payments are taken before the 15 days & tell them you didn’t authorise them to take any money, also explain that you have contacted them & take a copy of the email. These debits will probably be dealt with seperately.
Send the email now, go to the bank tomorrow!
